Welcome to the City of Refuge. We are a Christ-based room, not a Christian room. These are different terms holding different meanings.
Christian Room: An organization teaching the letter of the bible. Legalism.
Christ-based: Part of the organism that allows the learning of the Spirit of the bible and application in todays world.
To us, there are only two types of people, lost or saved. The lost are without Christ and the saved are with Christ. We have no ability to save anyone therefore, we will make no effort to do so. We do not know who is lost and who is saved and will not pose questions to determine a persons heart condition. We simply treat people the way they choose to be treated.
We have no laws or rules. Laws and rules are used to condition the specific behavior of obedience. What we do use are guidelines which are choices of each individual, and boundaries which become the responsibility of the individual. We adhere to these guidelines strictly and consistently at all times without partiality.
Titles, labels, and/or designations are not for this room. When a title such as Pastor or Reverend is used, it can tend to elevate one person above another in terms of positioning and stature which is meant for organizations not an individual in the organism. We will not lay the net of flattery over the pit of pride. All people are welcome yet a title is not. If you have an online nickname that can be considered a title, please change it and return to fellowship with us. This is your choice, and your responsibility.
1. We deal with attitudes, not opinions. The attitude of an individual, superior or inferior, needs to remain outside. If you wish to teach or be taught, this is not the room for you. Teaching is behavior orientation, and learning is being responsible for one self which is a process.
2. There is no profanity, nor the insinuation of it.
3. A person has one minute or less to use the microphone if there is someone waiting with a raised hand to use it next. If there is no one else with a hand raised waiting to use the microphone, speak as long as you like. Please wait to be called to the microphone by the moderator of the room, not another guest. This helps keep the flow of the room courteous and orderly.
4. We speak English only which avoids confusion. This is inclusive of commonly used words such as shalom which are not English words.
The City of Refuge is open 7 days a week at various times. Monday through Friday the city is open from 7 am to 8 am Central Standard Time and the room is moderated by Jeremiah2911 and One Solitary Life. The city is also open Wednesday through Sunday 9 am to 12 noon Central Standard time and is moderated by 1Cor612.
If 1Cor612 (Stan), Jeremiah2911 (Mary) or One Solitary Life (Diane) are online the city is open. The cities admins also have other paltalk names and if they are on there alternate names the city is not open. Those names are the following First Edition (1Cor612), Red Ryder (Jeremiah2911) and LadyDi_USA (One Solitary Life)
